FIRST ROUND. DING. DING.

This mask was hand made for a Disco Luchador party. I've been wanting to create an AR version of it.

So I modeled and exported the mask from Cinema 4D. Used After Effects to create a glitter animated texture. Then applied all the textures and shaders in AR Studio. Pretty easy so far. See you in Round 2...

Weapon M: Brainwash

This is part of a larger scene that I'm creating for Manatilla's character introduction animatic.

I modeled the entire scene in Cinema 4D and rendered it in Octane. The video playing on the TVs was created in After Effects and used inside C4D as a light-emitting-texture that generates most of the illumination for the clip.

I'm having a little trouble with the cable dynamics. Sometimes those damn cables don't want to stay attached to the helmet as Manatilla vigorously shakes his head. I used the Hair Simulation tag to create the rubber cable physics and a Hair Constraint tag to make it stick to the helmet. I think the problem lies in one of the many variables inside the physics settings. I will keep trying...

Marco Rubio Chrome Extension

So I was compelled to design and code a Chrome Extension that changes the words "AR-15" to Marco Rubio because a survivor of the deadly shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School tweeted "We should change the names of AR-15s to “Marco Rubio” because they are so easy to buy."

Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio has received $3,303,355 in donations from the NRA over the course of his political career. He has never done anything to move toward saner gun laws. Instead, he has made it easier for civilians to acquire them..

AR-15 is the weapon most widely used by mass shooters. I am a veteran and used this weapon in combat. These weapons of war should not be easy to buy.

Brubbies: The Big One

Here are the initial animations I made for the read-along Brubbies Story Time app. Lots of photoshop, illustrator, and the puppet tool in After Effects.

Brubbies is a book series about two brothers that are discovering the world around them, realizing along the way that it's great having someone to share it with. The Big One is the story of one boy's mission to catch the fish of his life. And he realizes that he needs some help along the way, from his Brubbie and a new friend.
